Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is know by many because of her outrageous fashion and - huge fake eyelashes. Hence, a reason why Nakata Yasutaka (Kyary's producer) wrote a song about Kyary's love for them. (つけまつける）
Kyary's 'eyemazing' lashes are available in 3 different styles.
Today I will be reviewing Harajuku Doll #501
Overall the quality is average.
The lashes have a plastic, hard feel to them and can be quite heavy on one's eyes. For long periods of time it may become uncomfortable [if you are not used to such large and heavy eyelashes].
False eyelashes are supposed to be larger than real lashes, so one can enhance their appearance. However, these lashes are abnormally large and definitely do not suit a 'natural' look.
As the description of the lashes said, it creates a 'doll' like look with the droopy eyes.
The packaging is very cute and appealing.
I purchased mine for 1,200円 in Japan. (About 14$ AUD)
There are 3 sets of eyelashes (6 in total) so quite a decent price. You can always reuse your fake eyelashes providing you take good care of them and occasionally clean them with water.
Where to buy KPP's eyelashes?
Several places sell them, however I've seen them for sale at ridiculous prices in stores.
For example, in Sydney China Town they were selling for $40! How absurd..
So I recommend trying rakuten or ebay for a reasonable price.
How to apply false eyelashes:
Kyary also has a demonstration video on youtube. Kyary discusses her new product and gives us a step by step process on how to apply her lashes.
